Shenaz Treasurywala in a Grecian affair
The actress and former veejay shared travel pictures that will give you serious holiday envy
The bubbly Shenaz Treasurywala is a tough-to-please wife on Netflix show Brown Nation, but right now she's vacationing in Greece, and the pictures are wow-worthy. A familiar name in the world of films (in movies like Delly Belly and Ishq Vishk) and television, Shenaz first came into the spotlight as an MTV VJ. She appeared in Hindi and Telugu films and became an international actress with her role on American soap opera One Life To Live and went on to contribute to Comedy Central's The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.
Quite the travel junkie, she has hosted, written and produced the show Culture Shock – Travel With Shenaz on Travel Channel. Her social media feed is the stuff of a travel lover's dreams. She shared her latest vacay pictures with us, all the way from Greece, and we couldn't help feeling pangs of wanderlust.
Shenaz strikes a pose against the white-washed homes in Santorini, Southeast of Greece's mainland. “Epic views and blue skies. If you're looking for a destination to rekindle your relationship, this is it,” she said.
“Was Indian civilization older than this? The first settlement here was in 7000 BC,” says Shenaz about the ancient city of Argos in an outfit that looks straight out of a fashion magazine spread.
Shenaz channels her inner siren on Red Beach, Santorini. We got a mythology lesson along with the fabulous photo. Says Shenaz, “In Greek mythology, sirens lured sailors from the sea into shipwreck on the rocky coast with wondrous music.”
Shenaz went island hopping to the laidback boho island, Hydra. It has become a popular stop for the global art community. So glittery is this island, even a bad hair day didn't spoil Shenaz's photo-op.
Shenaz made a stop at another historic spot, the Temple of Poseidon on a cliff by the ocean. In Greek mythology, Poseidon is the God of sea. “It looks gleaming white when seen from the sea,” says Shenaz.
Shenaz took a breather at the 2,000-year-old Herodion amphitheatre. “They still have concerts here,” she says.
Once the holiday is over, Shenaz will resume working on Hollywood film, The Big Sick where she plays a Pakistani woman.
