Dilijit Dosanjh’s ‘Soorma’ First Look Revealed
Punjabi Munda ‘Dilijit Dosanjh who made his debut in Hindi cinema with controversial ‘Udta Punjab’ and made every one took notice of his natural acting skills. The dashing singer-turned-actor later impressed the viewers with his portrayal of folk singer ‘Roop Lal’ in ‘Phillauri’. Now Dilijit is gearing up for a new challenge- ‘Soorma’.
Recently the makers released the teaser poster of the movie ‘Soorma’ in which the actor is playing the role of a hockey player. The movie ‘Soorma’ is written and directed by ‘Saathiya’ fame director Shaad Ali and will see Dilijit playing legendary hockey player Sandeep Singh.
Sandeep Singh was the captain of Indian hockey team who was shot by an accidental gunshot in Shatabadi train, as he was on his way to join the national team for the World Cup in Germany two days later. Sandeep spent two years on wheel chair in paralysed state. Later he not only recovered from such fatal injury, but also established himself in Hockey.
Produced by Sony Pictures, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh, ‘Soorma’ will be Diljit’s first ever Hindi film as a solo lead. The movie will hit theatres on 29th June 2018.
Looking at all the earlier autobiographical movies in the past like, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘MS Dhoni’ and ‘Dangal’, it will be the most challenging role for Dilijit. Whether he can prove himself only time will tell.
